Horkver is an old name from the language of hunters. Long ago it meant “the place where beasts fall.” Today people simply call it Horkver. The town stands on the edge of a wild forest. Its wooden walls are covered with claw marks and watchtowers burn with bright fire through the night. Inside hunters sharpen their spears, trade trophies and tell stories of creatures hiding in the dark. Some say the forest around Horkver is a giant living creature, watching every step with silent eyes.
