Locknall is a name tied to iron and stone. Long ago, it was spoken in the tongues of miners and blacksmiths who worked day and night beneath the mountains. The full word carried power and weight, but mortals kept only the short form: Locknall. The town itself feels more like a fortress than a settlement. Tall walls of dark stone surround it, gates sealed with heavy chains and towers crowned with burning braziers. Inside, the sound of hammers never fades and sparks dance in the night sky. Some say the forges here can shape weapons strong enough to wound even demons. Others whisper that the chains of Locknall were built not to keep enemies out... but to keep something inside.
